Missing the Linq’s overarching objective is to develop solutions aimed at multi-sector organisations to improve standards of cyber security and provide a pragmatic and affordable solution to the management of risk.

The challenge is multifaceted: to prevent cyber-attacks on organisations, to raise awareness of risk and standards of cyber-security, to develop a culture of responsibility and accountability, to provide pragmatic, affordable solutions to organisations. Missing the Linq uses a novel approach which provides a technological software solution backed with additional resources which can integrate with any business to achieve cyber security through three deliverables:

  • The development of innovative applications capable of risk identification, analysis, assessment and developing mitigation plans broken down to task level.
  • The provision of resources – documentation, processes and sector specific information to support the use of the software and its integration into business processes.
  • Access to services – personal consultancy to support companies through the software-led process of achieving cyber security and to provide additional expertise as required.

Graham Wakerley is the founder and CEO of Missing the Linq a technology firm which specialises in helping businesses connect strategy to delivery and people to technology.  Having spent the last 25 years working in the IT industry developing, deploying and supporting information management systems for large, medium and small organisations Graham’s skill set is varied with experience as a senior executive with a strong track record of delivering software and services across large scale projects in different sectors, leading technological change and driving innovation to facilitate business change and maximising growth.  Graham specialises in Corporate and IT Governance writing and consulting about Information Security, Data Protection, Business Continuity with an emphasis on making it simple.
Combining knowledge of information management with security and protection gives him a unique insight into the demands placed on systems and organisations to protect data as well as share information in a structured and easily consumed manner.

Our vision is to provide an ‘out of the box’ solutions to enable organisations to identify, control and mitigate risks. Using specifically designed templates tailored to sector and organisation type, an organisation will be able to utilise the power of the Risk Frameworks and Engines to identify their key risks; score and rate them according to severity, impact and likelihood; and generate a risk dashboard to support their own going management, mitigation and/or elimination. The risk dashboard can be tailored for its user per organisational, departmental, team or individual risk levels. This bestows on user’s responsibility and accountability for the risks which are within their individual domains.
